lyrics
I’m taking self-pity baths in my room
for the mess I’ve made I blame you
my dear I know you've been through so much
and still I break all the things I touch
finding comfort in despair
deep breaths ease all the pain
forget everything
until tomorrow is the same
and you wait on me to grow
and I wait for you to know
I threw my years like stones into rivers
like a child breaking sticks not knowing why
and built the thinnest bridge over deep waters
while knowing that I could drown
finding comfort in despair
deep breaths ease all the pain
forget everything
until tomorrow hits the same
and you wait on me
you opened your heartstrings
and let me pull a bit
I tear you apart dear
and accuse you for it

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
